DESCRIPTION:Join us for a kick-off celebration of the 25th Anniversary of Sound Start Foundation at a Cocktail Party and Ribbon Cutting for the new toddler playground at the Sound Start Babies’ Nursery at Lake Drive School. \nTogether\, let’s join forces to raise additional funds to enhance the playground for Sound Start Babies and the Mountain Lakes Community\, and continue to fund the life-changing program for babies who are deaf and hard of hearing. \nTo purchase tickets and/or sponsorship opportunities click here.\nSound Start Foundation supports educational and therapeutic programs to help babies and toddlers with hearing loss\, and their families\, lead full and successful lives. The Foundation supports the Sound Start Babies Program for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Children\, which provides life-changing early intervention\, family-support and nursery programs to children with hearing loss.  The Sound Start Babies Program and Nursery is based in Mountain Lakes\, NJ and provides services to babies and toddlers through in-home services in 9 counties in New Jersey.  \nThe goal of the Sound Start Babies Program is for children with hearing loss to develop language\, speech\, and communication skills commensurate with those of their hearing peers and for their caregivers to have the information and strategies to foster this development throughout childhood.  The Program has made a life-changing difference for more than 1\,500 babies (and their families) with hearing loss. Each year the Foundation is the single largest supporter of the Program and provides up to 60% of their funding. This year the Foundation needs to raise at least $400\,000 to fully support the Program’s needs.
